Partnerships

Rural Film Culture considers clearly labelled collaborations that fit its focus on cinema in rural places. Send a short proposal through the Contact page, including the subject, format and intended audience.

Possible collaborations

Proposals may involve a labelled sponsored feature, a partner resource listing or a clearly marked placement connected to rural film screenings, film-making or cultural activity. We consider fit, usefulness to readers and whether the relationship can be explained plainly. A placement is not an endorsement.

Clear labels

Sponsored and partner material is identified as such wherever it appears. Labels will not be hidden in general editorial language, and commercial material will not be presented as independent reporting. We do not accept arrangements that require us to imply a partnership is editorially neutral.

Editorial boundaries

Partners may provide accurate information about their proposal, but they do not determine our independent coverage or receive a promise of favourable treatment. We may decline ideas that are outside the publication's subject or would confuse readers about who is speaking.

Our point of view

A screen is part of its place

A film night depends on more than the film: the room, the audience and the way people come together all matter.
